Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Storman Norman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Farson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Farson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Farson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Norman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Norman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Farson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Norman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Farson defends well.
Farson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Farson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Farson misses with a wild combination.
Donk. Farson catches Norman right on the button with a cross.

Farson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Norman to the ground. Farson is now in Norman's guard.
Norman being controlled here, momentarily.
Norman has a closed guard, preventing Farson from standing up.
Farson trying to control but Norman is working from the bottom.

Norman throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Farson trying to control the position from guard on top but Norman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Farson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Norman is proving hard to escape from.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Farson wasn't active enough on the ground.
Farson slips under a jab.
Norman shoots in but Farson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Norman throws a sloppy head kick and Farson moves out of range easily.
Farson checks a leg kick nicely.

Farson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norman tries to get to full guard but Farson has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, if Farson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Farson wants to work for an arm triangle but Norman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Farson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Farson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Norman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Farson in particular looking to stall.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Farson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Norman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Norman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Norman misses with a hook.

Farson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Norman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Farson blocks the strikes from Norman.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Farson controlling the position from side mount.
Let's hope that Farson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Farson dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Norman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Farson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Farson not doing much here.
Farson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Farson is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Norman is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Farson!
