The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva lands a big uppercut and Maximus crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Maximus looks OK.

It looks like Optimus Maximus has been cut.

Silva tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Maximus is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back!

Maximus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Maximus cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The referee asks Maximus politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Maximus prefers to stall for the moment though.
