Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Blake Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Axe's entrance music is For Whom the Bell Tolls. A fine choice. Blake Axe is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axe tries to clinch but Shaw moves out of range.
Axe fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Shaw moves into the clinch.
Shaw has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Axe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shaw gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Axe regains guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Axe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Axe wriggles free and stands up.
Axe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shaw swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blake Axe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Shaw.

Axe has his foot on Shaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shaw works his way back into a safe position though.

Shaw got a little sloppy there for a moment and Axe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shaw has managed to get both his arms back between Axe's legs - danger averted.

Axe manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Nice sprawl there from Axe as Shaw shoots in.
Shaw looks gassed!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Axe shoots for a takedown but Shaw saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shaw shoots in and drives through. Axe sprawls well.

That was a close round but I would say that Blake Axe will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Axe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shaw controls the pace.

Axe has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shaw is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Axe.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Shaw lands a huge takedown. Axe is out but the ref is slow to react and Shaw lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Axe lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
