Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willie Mcghee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Trestanon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mcghee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dropkick Murphys - The Warrior's Code. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Willie Mcghee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miguel Trestanon!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcghee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mcghee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Trestanon's guard.

Mcghee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Trestanon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcghee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcghee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Mcghee moves in looking to clinch but Trestanon pushes him off.

Mcghee shoots for a double leg takedown but Trestanon sprawls well. He's pushed Mcghee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Trestanon connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Trestanon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mcghee was well out of range. Poor timing from Trestanon.
Trestanon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mcghee throws a leg kick but Trestanon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Trestanon buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mcghee shoots for a double leg takedown but Trestanon sprawls well. He's pushed Mcghee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Trestanon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A nice inside leg kick there by Trestanon. That's going to slow Mcghee down.
Trestanon tries a low kick but Mcghee avoids it.
Mcghee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trestanon was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcghee finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Trestanon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcghee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Trestanon wants to stand and escape but Mcghee is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trestanon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Willie Mcghee will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mcghee crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Trestanon - the referee stops the clock and Mcghee gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Trestanon. Mcghee manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trestanon can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mcghee feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcghee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mcghee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
