Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lukas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxell Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gilbert's calf.
Gilbert blocks a head kick by Silva.
Gilbert stuffs the takedown.
Gilbert swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gilbert walks into a stiff left hand from Silva.

Gilbert is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gilbert counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.
Gilbert wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Gilbert advances position into side control!

Gilbert tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well.
Silva is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gilbert tries to move to mount but Silva blocks the move with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gilbert cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Silva parries the strikes from Gilbert easily there. Gilbert is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Silva to escape.

Gilbert is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gilbert shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silva pinned against the cage. Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Maxell Gilbert dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Silva stuns Gilbert with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Silva tries to break the clinch but Gilbert is controlling the position.

Gilbert breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gilbert takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Silva throws a series of punches but Gilbert avoids them all with ease.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Silva throws a body kick that misses.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gilbert as he jumps to the side.
Lukas Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gilbert tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gilbert has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Silva clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Gilbert is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
