The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bam Boomer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Glenn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boomer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boomer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Glenn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Glenn throws an overhand right that lands on Boomer's shoulder, as Boomer tries to avoid the shot.

The cut above Bam Boomer's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Glenn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Glenn drops Boomer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Boomer looks back up at him and smiles so Glenn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Boomer tries to keep at a distance but Glenn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Boomer is still on wobbly legs! Can Glenn finish him?
Boomer is trying to push Glenn away but Glenn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Glenn has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bam Boomer's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
