Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mamed Khalidow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wayne Powell!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Powell sprawls well initially but Khalidow persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Powell is pressing down on Khalidow's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Khalidow has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Khalidow is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Powell has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Khalidow is looking to defend but Powell has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Khalidow! Powell pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Khalidow taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wayne Powell!
A relieved looking Wayne Powell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
