Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ginger Root (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Root comes to the cage accompanied by Viva la Vida. Volkov is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stand By Me. Oleg Volkov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Volkov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Root sprawls well initially but Volkov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Volkov throws a big elbow that misses.
Volkov is posturing up here but Root has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Volkov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Volkov has to tap! Slick submission there by Root!
