Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunn comes to the cage accompanied by Down With the Sickness. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo tries to clinch

so Gunn counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gunn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Aldo looking for a sweep. Not yet Aldo, not yet.
Aldo keeping full guard, as Gunn tries to pass.

Gunn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aldo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gunn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gunn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aldo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aldo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gunn throws a big right hand that misses.
Aldo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gunn manages to get himself to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aldo tries to stand but Gunn is controlling from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aldo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gunn looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Aldo is defending well. Gunn quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Aldo has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gunn celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
