The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Black there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hammer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Black sprawls well. Black wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hammer gets slowly back to his feet.

Black gets a clinch.

Black manages to break the clinch.
Tori Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black lands with a kick to the temple. Hammer shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Jay Hammer has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hammer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Black as he avoids it easily.

Black tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hammer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Black misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hammer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Black tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hammer avoids the head kick by Black.

Black lands a head kick that stumbles Hammer and the fighters go to the mat.

Black stops Hammer from standing up.

Hammer seems to have got his legs back now.
Hammer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Black's guard.
Black avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Black is looking to sweep but instead, Hammer has passed into half guard.
Hammer throwing shots but Black is blocking nicely.
Hammer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hammer takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Hammer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hammer stands up out of the half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hammer takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hammer closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. Hammer pushes Black against the cage but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Black looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hammer shoots in but no luck this time.
Black misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hammer avoids the head kick by Black.
Black fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Black looks gassed!

Black closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Black lands in his opponent's guard.

Black is posturing up here but Hammer has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Black tries to roll out but it's too tight and Black has to tap! Slick submission there by Hammer!
