The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz thows a leg kick but Player checks it
and Player counters with a straight right hand.
Ortiz throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ortiz should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ortiz looks to land a combination but Player avoids it well.
Player fakes the leg kick and cracks Ortiz in the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Player gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Player tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ortiz just stands there and leans against the cage.

Player drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ortiz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Player works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ortiz looks gassed!
Ortiz postures up in Player's guard and throws a big left but Player blocks it.
Player manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ortiz manages to get himself to full guard.
Player cracks Ortiz with a solid left hand.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Player is working Ortiz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Player postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Ortiz covers up, he's hurt! Player keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Player and the ref steps in to end the fight! Player can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
