Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sparks might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Viva Las Vegas by Dead Kennedys. Johnson has chosen Outside - Staind as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Sparks moved out of range nicely.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sparks lands a jab.
Johnson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sparks.
Johnson throws a looping overhand right but Sparks ducks down to avoid it.
Johnson misses with a combination
and Sparks cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sparks tries to clinch up.
Johnson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Bobby Sparks has been cut.
Johnson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Johnson lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sparks or not.
Sparks struggles to land a body shot inside as Johnson controls his hands.
Johnson gets through Sparks's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Johnson prevents the takedown attempt.
Sparks tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Sparks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnson scores with a one two! Sparks had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sparks.
Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Sparks avoids nicely.

Johnson dips to his left and cracks Sparks with an uppercut!
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sparks circles away.
A combination from Johnson does no damage.
Sparks scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Sparks wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sparks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sparks tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sparks won't allow Johnson to sweep him here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sparks trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sparks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sparks tries to hold on but Johnson pushes him away.
Johnson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sparks's face.
Sparks tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Johnson is landing with some decent strikes but Sparks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Johnson with shots to the head and body - Sparks looks very uncomfortable down there.
Sparks takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sparks is rocked!
Sparks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Johnson unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Sparks wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Johnson celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
