Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joakeem Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor comes to the cage accompanied by You Make Me Sick by Egypt Central. The crowd seem to be enjoying Sawyer's choice of entrance music: MegaDeth- This Day We FIGHT!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Taylor misses.
Some wild striking there from Taylor.
Taylor tries to keep at a distance but Sawyer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sawyer wants the takedown. Taylor is fighting it off but Sawyer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Taylor's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sawyer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sawyer has hold of Taylor's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Taylor tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sawyer cranks the arm and Taylor screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Taylor, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Cyrus Sawyer!
