Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mighty Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramon Labayen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike takes one to the side of the head.
Labayen tries to bum rush Mike with a series of wild strikes but Mike uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Labayen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Labayen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Labayen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Labayen slaps away a takedown attempt from Mike, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mike shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Labayen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Labayen tries to kick Mike off but Mike keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Mike wants to work for an arm triangle but Labayen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mike thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Labayen is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Labayen struggles to land a body shot inside as Mike controls his hands.
Mike fails to pull guard.
Mike fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mighty Mike. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Labayen works on Mike's body with a couple of short punches.

Labayen goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Labayen.
Mike tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mike jumps guard but Labayen stands there with Mike around his waist. Mike gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Labayen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mike is defending well for now.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Labayen.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Labayen throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Mike moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Labayen has worked his arm free - good work by Labayen!

Mike swings around for an armbar but Labayen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mike's guard.

Mike is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Labayen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mike to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Labayen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mike pulls down on the head and he's put Labayen to sleep! This one is all over!
