The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rickson.
Brooks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rickson can pounce on him.
Rickson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Brooks checks it well.
Rickson throws a solid leg kick but Brooks takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rickson.
Brooks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Brooks walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rickson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rickson tries to work over Brooks's front leg with a kick but Brooks checks it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rickson motions for Brooks to come forward. Rickson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Carl Rickson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good leg kick by Rickson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Brooks is breathing heavily.

It looks like Adam Brooks has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rickson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brooks has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rickson throws a head kick that half lands.
Brooks stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rickson.
Brooks is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Rickson keeps Brooks at a distance using the push kick.
Rickson lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rickson feints and then cracks Brooks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brooks down.
Rickson pushes Brooks away with a front kick.
Rickson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brooks's sensitive parts.

Rickson lands a big head kick that sends Brooks tumbling to the mat! Rickson takes a step backwards and waves Brooks back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Brooks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Whack! Rickson lands a heavy head kick that drops Brooks. The ref tackles Rickson to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Brooks was done.
