Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ichiro Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Bongderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Takahashi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gettō De ゲットーで. Bongderson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bongderson swings widly with a right hand
and Takahashi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A big left from Bongderson misses.
Takahashi throws a shot from downtown. Bongderson moves away and avoids it.
Takahashi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bongderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bongderson jabs Takahashi right on the nose. Takahashi blinks but takes it well.
Bongderson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Takahashi. Bongderson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bongderson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Bongderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takahashi manages to avoid it.

Takahashi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bongderson if he has to take too many more of those.
Danny Bongderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bongderson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Takahashi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Bongderson cracks Takahashi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bongderson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Takahashi to stand back up!
