Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Slamen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Cartman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Slamen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman tries a head kick but it misses.
Slamen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Slamen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cartman avoids it really well and circles away.
Left hook, right uppercut from Cartman.
Slamen dodges the punch combination from Cartman.
Cartman misses with a head kick.
Cartman misses with a few strikes there.
Cartman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Slamen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Slamen showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Slamen working over Cartman with some ground and pound. Cartman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Slamen is pressing down on Cartman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cartman is holding on for now.

Slamen is working for a kimura but Cartman is defending it quite comfortably.
Slamen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cartman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Slamen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Slamen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Cartman wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Cartman tries to buck Slamen off but he can't manage it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Slamen loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Cartman scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Slamen land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Slamen stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Troy Slamen!
A relieved looking Troy Slamen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
