Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Twilight Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saga comes to the cage accompanied by You are going to the Twilight of your Career. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Twilight Saga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Boxer!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boxer circles away quickly and effectively.

Saga changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boxer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Saga prevents Boxer from escaping the position.
Boxer wants to control but Saga postures up.
Boxer gets back to half guard.
Saga thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Saga is nestled in close to Boxer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Boxer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saga looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boxer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Saga missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Saga seems to be working for a kimura but Boxer defends the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saga lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Boxer moves into full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saga postures up in Boxer's guard and throws a big left but Boxer blocks it.
Saga has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Boxer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Saga is one step ahead there.

Boxer is trying to keep Saga in close.

Boxer pushes Saga off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Saga misses with a takedown attempt - Boxer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saga ducks under a wild hook from Boxer.
Boxer misses with an uppercut.
Saga loads up on a big right hand but Boxer slips the punch.
Horrible takedown by Saga or perhaps it was just good defense by Boxer which made him look bad.
Boxer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boxer.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boxer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Saga stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boxer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boxer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Saga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boxer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boxer is looking to stand up but Saga isn't so interested in that idea.
Saga missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Saga trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Saga working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Boxer's head.

Saga pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boxer is keeping the position for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Saga's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Boxer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boxer has momentary wrist control but Saga slips an elbow through the middle.
Saga postures up.

Boxer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Twilight Saga dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Saga arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Boxer's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
