The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bataille pivots, looking for a leg kick but Christian is out of range and Bataille settles back down.
Christian connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bataille throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Christian fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bataille on the side of the head.

Bataille walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Christian checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Bataille moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Christian ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bataille moves away.
Christian fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bataille checks it well.
Christian tries to bum rush Bataille with a series of wild strikes but Bataille uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Georges Bataille seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bataille tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Christian shoots in but Bataille avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bataille fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Christian is out of range.
A combination from Bataille does no damage.
Christian shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bataille defends it nicely.
Christian lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bataille circles away quickly and effectively.

Christian wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Christian lands a huge takedown. Bataille is out but the ref is slow to react and Christian lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Bataille lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
