Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sami Holmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ara Vahaber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vahaber has chosen Dr.Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Still Dre as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vahaber slow jab from Holmen misses its intended target.
Holmen tries for a takedown but Vahaber sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Holmen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Vahaber scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Holmen doesn't seem bothered though.

Vahaber throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Holmen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Holmen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vahaber circles away.
Vahaber ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

A head kick lands from Vahaber that sends Holmen to the canvas. Holmen tries to scramble back to his feet but Vahaber brings him back down into side control.

Holmen is not content to let Vahaber control the position.

Vahaber wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Holmen, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vahaber is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Holmen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Holmen tries to clinch up but Vahaber circles away and keeps his distance.
The crowd cheers as Vahaber lands an impressive looking overhand right. Holmen doesn't seem phased though.

Holmen shoots in for a double leg but Vahaber sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Holmen tightens his grip and picks Vahaber up, before dumping him to the ground. Vahaber manages to land in guard.

Holmen has gone for a leg lock! Vahaber slips out almost immediately though and dives into Holmen's guard.
