Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dre Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yokihishi Takana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Yall Gonna Make Me Lose my mind Up In Here By: DMX. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takana is looking to clinch.
Jackson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Jackson rushes Takana and presses him up against the cage.

Jackson has hold of one of Takana's legs. Takana is fighting the takedown attempt but Jackson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Takana is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Takana is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.

Takana is landing with some decent strikes but Jackson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Takana looks up at the clock and then as Jackson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Takana smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Takana wants to clinch

and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Takana!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takana tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control.
Jackson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Takana is looking to escape.
Takana bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Takana is nestled in close to Jackson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Takana in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jackson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Takana!
