The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arona fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Souza counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Arona!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Arona really wants to buck Souza off and get back to his feet.
Arona is bucking up trying to escape but Souza cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A big strike lands for Souza! That's really hurt Arona and he's turned his back - Souza keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Souza jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

In his post fight interview, Eduardo Souza started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
