The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roaig avoids the head kick by Maxwell.
Roaig swats away the attempt to clinch by Maxwell.
Maxwell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A punch combination from Roaig misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Maxwell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Maxwell wants to clinch.
Steven Maxwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maxwell throws a sloppy head kick and Roaig moves out of range easily.
Maxwell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Roaig manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Maxwell misses with a double jab.
Roaig blocks a head kick by Maxwell.
Maxwell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roaig sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maxwell somewhat.
Maxwell tries to clinch but Roaig moves out of range.

Maxwell misses with a leg kick.
Roaig comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Maxwell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maxwell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roaig swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Maxwell with that takedown attempt.
Maxwell is breathing heavily.
Roaig scores with a shot to the body.

Roaig instigates a clinch.

Roaig lands with a right to the head.
Roaig lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Maxwell backwards.
Roaig works on Maxwell's body with a couple of short punches.

Roaig lands a body shot in the clinch.
Maxwell takes a shot to the head.
Roaig misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Roaig pushes Maxwell back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Maxwell's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Roaig lands a right hand.
Still in the clinch, Roaig scores with a nice short uppercut.
Roaig makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Roaig lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Roaig misses with a punch to the body.
Maxwell looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Roaig struggles to land a body shot inside as Maxwell controls his hands.

A nice right hand lands inside from Roaig.
A head punch on the inside from Roaig fails to land.
Roaig lands a big right hand that drops Maxwell! The killer instinct kicks in and Roaig finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Roaig!
