The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Winkle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nelson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nelson takes a swing at Winkle's ribcage but misses.
Nelson throws a leg kick but Winkle sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Gunnar Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nelson throws a low kick but Winkle moves out of range easily.
Winkle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd cheers as Winkle lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nelson doesn't seem phased though.
