The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rummer avoids the head kick by Engrle.
A nice combination there by Engrle.

It looks like Ryan Rummer has been cut.
Engrle misses with a wild combination.
Engrle plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rummer moves out of range of the body kick from Engrle.
Engrle lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Engrle lands a left and a right that sends Rummer crashing to the canvas! Engrle dives into mount looking to finish!

That has opened up Ryan Rummer's cut even more.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Engrle prevents Rummer from getting the reversal.
Rummer is still in real trouble! Can Engrle finish him?
Rummer holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Engrle tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Rummer seems to have recovered his senses.
Rummer is looking to improve his position but Engrle isn't that keen on the idea.
Engrle trying to control but Rummer is having none of it.
Rummer is working to get back to half guard.

Engrle controlling from the full mount.
Engrle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rummer on the ground.
Rummer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rummer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rummer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Stan Engrle just wasn't active enough.
Engrle tries to clinch up.
Engrle tries to bum rush Rummer with a series of wild strikes but Rummer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Engrle throws a head kick that half lands.

Stan Engrle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rummer misses with a looping left.
Engrle tries to clinch up but Rummer circles away and keeps his distance.
Stan Engrle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Engrle throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Rummer blocks a head kick by Engrle.
Engrle throws a nice looking combination but Rummer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Engrle misses with a double jab

so Rummer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rummer wants to control from the top but Engrle keeps moving.

Rummer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rummer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Engrle wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rummer is now in half guard.
Rummer is thwarting Engrle's attempts to control the position.
Engrle is concentrating on defense, preventing Rummer from advancing position.

Rummer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Engrle's head.
Rummer moves into full mount! Engrle won't be happy about that!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A nice elbow there by Rummer.
BOOM! Rummer connects with a massive shot to the dome!
