Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patterson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, "I'm Too Sexy". These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Rasputin throws a hook but Patterson avoids it easily.
Patterson throws a leg kick but Rasputin sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Patterson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rasputin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rasputin swats away the attempt to clinch by Patterson.
Rasputin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Patterson on the side of the head.

Patterson tries to land a front kick but Rasputin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rasputin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Patterson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rasputin's head backwards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Patterson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rasputin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rasputin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Rasputin gets caught napping as Patterson dives in and scores a takedown. Rasputin manages to retain guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Patterson passes Rasputin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rasputin has his hands clasped together around Patterson's back. He's all about the action.
Patterson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rasputin's head.
Patterson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Patterson has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rasputin. Oh but Patterson has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rasputin goes limp - he's gone! Patterson jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
