Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Dempsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Gabriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Get Out Of My Room kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Justin Gabriel has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gabriel.

Dempsey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gabriel throws a head kick but Dempsey moves out of range.
Dempsey shoots in for a takedown but Gabriel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dempsey connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gabriel's hands.

It looks like Justin Gabriel has been cut.
Gabriel tries to clinch but Dempsey moves out of range.
Gabriel shoots for a double leg takedown but Dempsey sprawls well. He's pushed Gabriel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Gabriel counters with a body kick that stops Dempsey in his tracks momentarily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dempsey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dempsey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gabriel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dempsey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dempsey's back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dempsey sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Dempsey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gabriel wants to clinch up but Dempsey keeps it at a distance.
