Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snabbo Smido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smido tests Okabe's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Smido is trying hard to land a takedown here. Okabe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Smido looks to land a strike but Okabe avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Okabe passes Smido's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Okabe is thwarting Smido's attempts to control the position.
Okabe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Okabe pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Okabe lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
