Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddie James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keven Ossland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keven Ossland!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from James.

It looks like Keven Ossland has been cut.
James fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
James scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
James avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
James falls off balance throwing a combination

and Ossland counters with a head kick that drops James to the mat! James scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Ossland which made him look bad.
James throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ossland instigates a clinch.

Ossland breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
James could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
James misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ossland closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ossland lands in his opponent's guard.

James is rocked!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ossland tries to stand but James is controlling from the bottom.
Ossland wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ossland gets to his feet. James looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ossland is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in James's half guard.
James tries to kick Ossland off but Ossland keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
James is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ossland's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ossland's back!

James is working for a rear naked choke. Ossland is not defending it well and James has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Ossland refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Ossland's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
