The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels tries to clinch
letting Savage counter with a right hand.
Daniels lands with a thumping leg kick.
Savage throws a series of punches but Daniels avoids them all with ease.
Daniels shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Savage as he avoids it easily.
Savage lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Daniels circles away quickly and effectively.
Daniels keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Horrible takedown by Daniels or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage which made him look bad.
Daniels tries to clinch there but Savage circles away.
Savage ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daniels moves away.
Savage misses the shot to the body.
Savage works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Savage tries to break free but Daniels pushes him back against the cage.

Daniels stands up and waves to Savage to follow him.

Daniels shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Savage sprawls well. Savage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daniels gets slowly back to his feet.
