The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalizhnikov closes the distance and clinches up with Takada, looking for a takedown. Kalizhnikov pushes Takada against the cage but Takada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Takada gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kalizhnikov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kalizhnikov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kalizhnikov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kalizhnikov throws a big right hand that misses.
Kalizhnikov forces his way into half guard.

Kalizhnikov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Takada sees it coming and defends easily.

Kalizhnikov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Takada defend it? Kalizhnikov steps over the head and cranks it - Takada is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kalizhnikov!
