Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lassi Lambada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Palahnuik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Palahnuik told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lassi Lambada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palahnuik fails to land with a series of punches.

Lambada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palahnuik tries to avoid it but Lambada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palahnuik to the ground. Palahnuik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No joy there for Lambada, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Palahnuik lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lambada circles away quickly and effectively.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lambada throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palahnuik's waist but Palahnuik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lambada off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lassi Lambada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lambada throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Palahnuik tries to score with a low kick but Lambada moves his leg out of the way.

Palahnuik bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Lambada throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Palahnuik sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lambada. Palahnuik does a little dance to reset his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lambada fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Palahnuik avoids it really well and circles away.
Lambada lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lassi Lambada will probably get the nod.

A relieved looking Pete Palahnuik thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
