The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Pol Rawn has been cut.
Rawn shoots in for a double leg but Garnett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rawn wants to clinch.
Rawn shoots and misses
and Garnett counters with a nice body shot.
Garnett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rawn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Garnett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rawn somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pol Rawn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Garnett stuffs the takedown attempt from Rawn. Rawn gets slowly back to his feet.

Nice uppercut lands for Garnett. That snapped Rawn's head back.

Rawn shoots in looking for a takedown. Garnett tries to sprawl out of it but Rawn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garnett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rawn.

and Garnett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rawn takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Garnett slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Pol Rawn's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Pol Rawn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Garnett, as that shot connected.
Garnett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rawn. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Garnett catches Rawn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Garnett lands a leg kick that knocks Rawn off balance momentarily.

Garnett throws a nice looking combination but Rawn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

That kick from Garnett tenderised Rawn's leg. Rawn is trying to keep his angry face on.
A shot to the liver by Garnett. Beautiful body shot.
Rawn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jeez, Pol Rawn's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Garnett cracks Rawn with an open hand slap.
Garnett misses with a wild combination.
Garnett feints and then cracks Rawn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rawn down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garnett clobbers Rawn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Pol Rawn's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
