The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nahkapora avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nahkapora changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meijeri tries to avoid it but Nahkapora manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meijeri to the ground. Meijeri escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nahkapora looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Nahkapora takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Nahkapora is rocked!
Nahkapora shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meijeri as he jumps to the side.
Oh Nahkapora is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aapeli Nahkapora. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Nahkapora or perhaps it was just good defense by Meijeri which made him look bad.
Nahkapora seems to have got his legs back now.
Nahkapora misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nahkapora is breathing heavily.
Nahkapora has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Aapeli Nahkapora seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nahkapora closes the distance and clinches up with Meijeri, looking for a takedown. Nahkapora pushes Meijeri against the cage but Meijeri circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Meijeri! Nahkapora is out on his feet! Meijeri rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Nahkapora is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Nahkapora is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
