Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Knight!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stout tries to close the distance and clinch but Knight swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stout fails with the takedown.
Stout throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knight's waist but Knight gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stout off to one side.
Trey Stout seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knight closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Stout's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stout is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Stout tries to bench press Knight off him but Knight keeps the position.
Stout is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Knight is controlling him well.
Knight tries to advance to mount but Stout denies him.
Stout is looking for a sweep.
Stout struggling a bit here.

Knight is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stout is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A punch combination from Stout misses.
Stout feints and then cracks Knight's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Knight down.

and Stout makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Horrible takedown by Knight or perhaps it was just good defense by Stout which made him look bad.

and Knight counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stout's guard now.

Stout is looking to stand up but Knight isn't so interested in that idea.
Stout looking to hit a scissor sweep but Knight is one step ahead there.

Stout had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Knight is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stout Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Knight's back instead.

Stout moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Knight has worked his arm free - good work by Knight!
Stout wants to stand but Knight has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Stout is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Knight is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Knight has escaped and now he's on top!

Knight is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Stout throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Knight!

Stout slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
