Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Primo Carnera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carnera might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX - one more road to cross. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Primo Carnera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 2, fighting out of New York, Chris Carwin!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin throws a right hand that Carnera ducks under and follows up with a left that Carnera also avoids with ease.
A jab from Carwin misses.
Nice sprawl there from Carwin as Carnera shoots in.
The fighters circling - Carwin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Carnera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carwin throws the left hand but Carnera avoids the punch easily.
Carnera has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carwin finds it's way round the side to connect with Carnera's head.
Carwin throws a right and a left that Carnera avoids nicely.
No luck for Carnera with that takedown attempt.
Carnera fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Primo Carnera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carwin misses with a straight left.

and Carnera counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Carnera is trying to control. Carwin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carnera throwing shots but Carwin is blocking nicely.
Carnera thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Carwin is trying to control but can't.
Carnera tries to pass to full mount but Carwin defends it.
Carnera not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Carnera is trying to control. Carwin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Carnera wants to work for an arm triangle but Carwin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carwin wants to get back to full guard.

Carwin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Carwin is pressing down on Carnera's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Carwin wants to stand and escape but Carnera is having none of it.
Carnera passes Carwin's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Carnera seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Carnera throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Carwin is staying active underneath Carnera, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Carnera is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carwin is looking to improve his position.

Carwin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carwin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Carnera takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Carnera thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carwin's head.
Carnera is trying to control. Carwin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Carnera thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carwin tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Carnera manages to move to mount!
Carwin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Primo Carnera dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Carwin throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Carnera counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Carnera.
Carnera has Carwin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carwin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Carnera gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Carnera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carwin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Carwin wants to stand and escape but Carnera is having none of it.
Carwin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carnera controls the pace.
Carwin pulls Carnera in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Carwin was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Carwin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Carnera moves away from the strike by Carwin.
Carwin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carnera.
Carwin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carwin slaps away a takedown attempt from Carnera, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Primo Carnera. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carwin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carnera is working away from the top position though.
Primo Carnera overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Carnera moves into full mount! Carwin won't be happy about that!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carwin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


It looks like Chris Carwin has been cut.
Carwin is breathing heavily.
Carnera tries to control but Carwin wriggling away.
Carwin is looking to get to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carwin is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Carnera throws some wild stikes that Carwin manages to avoid easily.
Carnera wants to control the pace but Carwin is squirming around nicely.
BOOM! Carnera connects with a massive shot to the dome!


The cut above Chris Carwin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Chris Carwin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Chris Carwin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Primo Carnera!
