The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clavet doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davidson counters with an outside leg kick.
Clavet ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davidson moves away.
Clavet tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Clavet uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davidson.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Clavet. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Clavet takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Davidson lunges at Clavet with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Clavet's hand.

Good leg kick by Davidson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Davidson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Clavet's calf.
Clavet takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Clavet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davidson is fending him off so far but Clavet persists. Nope, Davidson circles away and we're back to standing.

Davidson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Clavet will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Clavet gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Davidson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Davidson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Davidson cracks Clavet with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Clavet takes one on the button.
Davidson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Davidson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Clavet eats them both and turns towards Davidson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Clavet takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Clavet on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Davidson throws a quick inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clavet tries to close the distance and clinch but Davidson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Davidson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Davidson lands with a kick to the temple. Clavet shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Aaron Davidson seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Davidson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Clavet.
Oh Clavet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davidson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Clavet fails with an attempt to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Clavet. Davidson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Clavet seems to have got his legs back now.
Clavet dives in and grabs Davidson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Davidson pushes down on Clavet's head and hops out.
