Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taj Mahal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adon Amousou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amousou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mahal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mahal throws a hook but Amousou blocks it.
Amousou feints and then cracks Mahal's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mahal down.
Mahal throws a leg kick but Amousou checks it.
Mahal misses with a low kick.
Amousou throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mahal slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Amousou misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Amousou looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mahal tries a head kick but it misses.

Mahal throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amousou drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mahal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mahal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mahal!

Amousou looking to break Mahal's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mahal remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Amousou will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
