With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carter The Farter!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez's corner calls for a 1-2. Sanchez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sanchez lands a right hook to the body.
The Farter misses with an uppercut. Sanchez saw that one coming.
Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The Farter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanchez was well out of range. Poor timing from The Farter.
Sanchez lands a front kick.
Sanchez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck The Farter on the side of the head.
Sanchez connects with a solid leg kick.
The Farter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The Farter on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Sanchez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The Farter throws a leg kick but Sanchez moved away.
Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from The Farter.

The Farter looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Carter The Farter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez looks for the body kick but The Farter saw that one coming.
The Farter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away.
The Farter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sanchez as he jumps to the side.
The Farter is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sanchez.

The Farter shoots for a takedown but Sanchez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Diego Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carter The Farter.
The Farter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sanchez lands a jab to The Farter's midsection.
The Farter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sanchez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The Farter is still on wobbly legs! Can Sanchez finish him?

Sanchez jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

The Farter dives in and grabs Sanchez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes down on The Farter's head and hops out.
The Farter is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sanchez is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for The Farter.
A jab from The Farter misses.
The Farter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sanchez.
Sanchez lands with a right that hurts The Farter. The Farter looks to clinch but Sanchez throws a short knee that drops The Farter. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Diego Sanchez!

Diego Sanchez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
