Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Nobis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Drwal!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drwal tries to clinch but Nobis moves out of range.
Nobis fails with a takedown attempt.

Drwal gets a clinch.
A body shot lands from Drwal.

Drwal manages to break the clinch.
Nobis motions for Drwal to come forward. Nobis throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Nobis.
Jab by Drwal.
A head kick misses from Nobis.
Nobis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Drwal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drwal fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nobis manages to avoid it.
Drwal tries to clinch up but Nobis circles away and keeps his distance.
Drwal misses with a few strikes there.
Drwal keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drwal misses with a straight right.
Nobis tries for a takedown but Drwal circles away easily
and Drwal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Nobis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Drwal falls off balance throwing a combination

and Nobis counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Nobis trying to control the action but Drwal is working from the bottom.
Drwal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nobis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nobis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Drwal tries to buck Nobis off but Nobis is having none of it.

Nobis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drwal is looking for a sweep.

Drwal tries to escape but Nobis is in control.
Drwal tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nobis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Nobis trying to control the action but Drwal is working from the bottom.

Nobis has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Drwal is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Nobis yanks on the arm and Drwal is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Nobis.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Peter Nobis!
