The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia tries to clinch but Timmons moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Timmons trying to land knees to the body.
Garcia tries to pull guard but Timmons forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Garcia works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Garcia trying to control the position from guard on top but Timmons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Garcia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Timmons manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Garcia has Timmons in his guard.

Garcia isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Timmons stacks Garcia on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Timmons!

Timmons has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Garcia is trying to reverse the position but instead Timmons has taken his back - oops!

Timmons patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Garcia wants to control his opponent's hands but Timmons gets his hands free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Garcia is trying to get back to his feet but Timmons has full control of the position and if anything, Garcia has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Timmons has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Garcia! Can he survive? No! He's out! Timmons gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
