Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quinton Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Broyles!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Broyles throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Broyles is in Jackson's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Jackson uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Broyles pushing down on Jackson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Broyles is working for a kimura but Jackson is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jackson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Broyles manages to mount him!

Broyles moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jackson has worked his arm free - good work by Jackson!

Broyles swings around for an armbar but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Broyles's guard.
Broyles is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Broyles has control of Jackson's left arm, preventing Jackson from doing any damage.
Broyles has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jackson has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott Broyles dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jackson tightens his grip and picks Broyles up, before dumping him to the ground. Broyles manages to land in guard.

Broyles has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.

Broyles looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Broyles is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Broyles wants to control the position but Jackson says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Broyles is positioning himself well to prevent Jackson advancing to mount.

Jackson stalling away here and it's allowed Broyles to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Jackson won't allow Broyles to sweep him here.
Broyles pulls Jackson in to control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Scott Broyles wasn't active enough on the ground.
Broyles fails with a takedown attempt.
Quinton Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Jackson counters with a single leg into guard. Broyles didn't expect that.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Broyles can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jackson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Broyles has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Jackson is looking to defend but Broyles has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Jackson! Broyles pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Jackson taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Scott Broyles!
As Scott Broyles got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: glad to get my first win!! i expected a little tougher fight, but will take the W any way i can get it '.
