PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fury's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Beast !. Rpin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bebot. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bryan Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Rpin!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rpin dodges the punch combination from Fury.
Rpin lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Bryan Fury has been cut.

Rpin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Rpin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fury defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fury moves into full guard.
Fury is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rpin looking for submissions off his back.
Fury throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rpin manages to get to full guard.
Fury loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rpin has his foot on Fury's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fury works his way back into a safe position though.

Rpin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Rpin controls Fury momentarily but Fury frees himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rpin working for submissions but it's allowed Fury to get to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rpin trying to control here.
Rpin wants to control but Fury passes into side.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fury is working Rpin over with some ground and pound from side control.
Rpin can't do much from the bottom here.
Rpin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fury kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fury lands a few punches from side control.
Rpin is looking for a sweep.
Rpin is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

You can see the frustration on Rpin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fury has control of an arm but Rpin manages to advance to Fury's back!
Fury turns into Rpin and is now in his guard.

Rpin working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Fury has passed into half guard!
Rpin trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Fury manages to pass to mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rpin is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Rpin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bryan Fury's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Fury fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rpin throws a right and a left that Fury avoids nicely.
Rpin lands a nice looking body shot.
Rpin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fury is fending him off so far but Rpin persists. Nope, Fury circles away and we're back to standing.
Rpin fails with the takedown.
Fury misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Fury counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Rpin! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryan Fury!
Bryan Fury spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a big arrogant.
