The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newmark defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chalk.

Newmark tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Newmark dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chalk. That did some damage!
Chalk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Newmark sprawls well. Newmark wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chalk gets slowly back to his feet.

Newmark fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chalk has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
