The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernstein swats away the attempt to clinch by OReem.

OReem lands an elbow inside that Bernstein shrugs off.
OReem throws a knee to the head but misses.

OReem drops Bernstein with a big knee straight up the middle! Bernstein is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

It looks like Rugal Bernstein has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OReem displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bernstein.

and Bernstein counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Astair OReem will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Astair OReem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
OReem tries to clinch but Bernstein is having none of it.

OReem tries to close the distance and clinch but Bernstein swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
