Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaykke Wheaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Louis Cane is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cane is defended easily by Wheaton.
Wheaton looks to land a combination but Cane avoids it well.

and Cane counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cane.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Wheaton looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cane has picked Wheaton up and slammed him! Wheaton can't keep hold of the triangle and Cane manages to pass to side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cane goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wheaton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cane but great work by Wheaton.

Cane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wheaton is on top in guard.

Cane drops back looking for a leg! Wheaton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wheaton manages to kick Cane off! Cane jumps back into Wheaton's guard.

Wheaton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cane gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wheaton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cane has managed to get both his arms back between Wheaton's legs - danger averted.

Cane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wheaton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cane is looking to work his way around to Wheaton's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Cane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wheaton sprawls well. Wheaton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cane gets slowly back to his feet.

Cane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wheaton is fending him off so far but Cane persists. Nope, Wheaton circles away and we're back to standing.
Jaykke Wheaton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Cane.
Wheaton closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Cane! Wheaton dives in looking to finish! Cane is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
