Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brent Sylosis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sylosis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Jester kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Brent Sylosis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sylosis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No luck for Suarez with that takedown attempt.
Sylosis shoots in for a double leg but Suarez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sylosis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sylosis is looking to take a break and control but Suarez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Suarez manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Suarez has one foot on Sylosis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Sylosis looks to land a left hand but Suarez moved out of range nicely.
Sylosis misses with a looping left.
Suarez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Suarez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sylosis defends it nicely.
Sylosis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Sylosis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
An elbow from Sylosis crashes against the mat.
Suarez wants to control but Sylosis postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Suarez throws Sylosis to one side and escapes!

A slow jab from Sylosis misses its intended target.
Suarez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Sylosis and Suarez goes tumbling to the canvas! Sylosis follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Suarez seems to have got his legs back now.
Sylosis is looking to pass Suarez's guard but actually Suarez recovers to full guard.

Suarez has his feet on Sylosis's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Suarez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Sylosis moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Suarez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sylosis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Suarez is looking to stall here but Sylosis recovers full guard.
Suarez passes Sylosis's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Suarez stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Sylosis to get to his feet.
Sylosis clobbers Suarez with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Sylosis shoots in for a takedown but Suarez shows good takedown defense.
Suarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sylosis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sylosis tries to clinch but Suarez is having none of it.
Sylosis on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Suarez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Suarez is trying to work for a kimura but Sylosis is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brent Sylosis dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Suarez keeps the fight on the outside.
Suarez closes the distance and clinches up with Sylosis, looking for a takedown. Suarez pushes Sylosis against the cage but Sylosis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Suarez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sylosis lands a jab to the head.
Sylosis connects with a right hand. Suarez shakes it off.

Sylosis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sylosis wants to take a breather but Suarez manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Sylosis.

Sylosis fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Suarez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Suarez looks to clinch but Sylosis throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Suarez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
