Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Richard Burgess!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George Iv swinging wildly here.
Burgess shoots in for a double leg but George Iv sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
George Iv rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burgess moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
George Iv looks to land a combination but Burgess avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from George Iv. Those never looked like landing.
George Iv misses with the combination.
George Iv misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
George Iv misses with a series of wild punches.
George Iv lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by George Iv.

George Iv gets caught napping as Burgess dives in and scores a takedown. George Iv manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
George Iv avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
George Iv will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Burgess trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Burgess advances to half guard.

Burgess throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Burgess uses his free foot to push down on George Iv's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for George Iv.
Burgess tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Burgess breaks from George Iv's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Burgess with shots to the head and body - George Iv looks very uncomfortable down there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burgess misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

George Iv wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Burgess.

George Iv avoids a series of strikes thrown by Burgess.
George Iv knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burgess on the ground.

It looks like King George Iv has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

George Iv gets tackled into the cage by Burgess. Burgess maintains the clinch.
Burgess has George Iv pressed against the cage, preventing George Iv from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

George Iv is fighting off a takedown attempt but Burgess is just too persistent for him and manages to trip George Iv to the mat. George Iv regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
George Iv avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Burgess is looking to work some ground and pound but George Iv has wrist control.
Burgess throws a big elbow that misses.

Burgess postures up in George Iv's guard and throws a big left but George Iv blocks it.
Burgess slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Richard Burgess.

Burgess decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Burgess is controlling the pace.

Burgess in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. George Iv tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Burgess!
