The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt
and Smith counters with a nice body shot.
Sichev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Smith lands with a cross.
Smith closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Sichev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sichev goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Smith has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sichev but great work by Smith.

Smith is trying to get an arm triangle but Sichev is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sichev manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Sichev flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sichev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Smith moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Sichev.

Smith kicks Sichev off and gets back to his feet.

Smith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sichev is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
