Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis tried to score with a low kick but Monroe checks it.
Monroe tries a head kick but it misses.
Monroe misses with a wild body shot.
Davis scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Davis misses with a hook. Monroe ducked under it nicely.

Monroe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Davis.
Carlos Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Davis counters with a right hand to the body.

Monroe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Monroe won't allow Davis to pass to mount.
Davis is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Monroe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Davis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Davis's back!
Monroe is not going to allow Davis to sit and survive in this position.
Davis turns into Monroe and is now in his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Davis will probably get the nod.

Monroe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Davis's head backwards.

Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monroe moves away.
Monroe throws the left hand but Davis avoids the punch easily.
Monroe throws a front kick aimed at Davis's knee but Davis avoids it well.

and Monroe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

That kick from Monroe tenderised Davis's leg. Davis is trying to keep his angry face on.
Davis fails to land the takedown.
Good leg kick by Monroe there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Monroe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Davis's sensitive parts.

Monroe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Daviss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Monroe wants to control but Davis is having none of it.
Monroe is in all sorts of trouble here.
Monroe tries to hold on but Davis pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Monroe gets back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Monroe regains full guard. Nicely done.
Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Monroe's guard.
Davis is thwarting Monroe's attempts to control the position.
Monroe is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Davis is staying active.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight!
Carlos Monroe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Monroe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
